Almudena’ philosophy has always been to devote special attention and effort to train classical dance teachers for her school in order to create her own methodology. The aim has been to create a well defined style that could be easily recognised by the pedagogical methods of the school.

Almudena has been  head teacher and artistic director of her own centre since 1982. She studied with Dame María de Ávila. Almudena entered the Ballet de Cámara de Zaragoza and then the Ballet Lírico Nacional (nowadays referred to as Compañía Nacional de Danza), under Victor Ullate’s direction. Almudena’s training is a very depurated academical technique of classical dance.

She studied the concepts of the Russian style through a stage with the Kirov company, while David Howard revealed to her the secrets of the American style.

Antonio Calero started his dancing experience with the Compañía Ballet del Atlántico (1984 - 1989). From 1988 up to 1990 he stayed in Italy where Antonio worked with two companies (Compagnia Mimo di Danza Alternativa and Compagnia Dance Continuum).

In 1992 Antonio entered the Compañía Nacional de Danza, under Nacho Duato's artistical direction. Ten years with the C.N.D. has been a valuable opportunity for Antonio to get to know and to master different contemporary dance styles: Marie Marín, Jiri Kylián, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, William Forsyte and obviously, Nacho Duato.

In 2000, Antonio started his colaboration with Almudena Lobón, teaching Contemporary Dance and Jazz in her school. Moreover, Antonio created various choreographic pieces for the Joven Ballet de Almudena Lobón.

Cristina del Pozo has been Almudena’s pupil since she was eight. In 1996 Cristina decided to devote her life to classical dance. At the moment she’s shaping her preparation as classical dancer: analysing different contemporary dance styles and increasing her knowledge of Classical Repertoire.

She has been a dancer of the Joven Ballet de Almudena Lobón since its foundation.

Cristina has been teaching Classical Ballet and Stretching courses since 1998.

Paula has been Almudena’s pupil since 1984.

Ten years later Paula made her hobby into a professional career. Under Almudena’s internship, Paula obtained the official classical dance degree (Real Conservatorio de Danza de Madrid), in 1996. At this stage she began to go into depth with Classical Repertoire with Almudena while starting her study of contemporary dance.

In 1998 Paula entered the "Ballet del Mediterráneo" de Fernando Bujones. At the end of 98 she got a nomination in the "Concurso Internacional de Danza Clásica Ciudad de Zaragoza".

In 1999 she worked in the "Compañía Joven de Carmen Roche". In 2000 she returned to Almudena to teach Classical Ballet and Stretching in the school and to dance with her company, the Joven Ballet de Almudena Lobón.

Raquel Merlo studied at the Real Conservatorio de Danza in Madrid where she got her Diploma to be an Official Spanish Dancer.

Later she studied Spanish Classical Ballet with Paco Romero and Bolero Style with Eloy Perice.

In 1997 she entered the Compañía Lírica de la Zarzuela where she remained up to 1999.

In 1999 Raquel danced with the Ballet Folclórico of Carmen Cantero.

Meanwhile she started her collaboration with Almudena‘s dancing school, teaching all Spanish dance courses: Sevillanas, Flamenco and Classical Spanish Ballet.

In 1990 Manuel came in Pamplona with the intention of devoting his skills to become a social dance teacher.

In 1994 he entered the Escuela Profesional de Danza de Almudena Lobón as a social dance teacher. During this time Manuel developed his experiences of traditional dances with Tony Escartín and others.  Meanwhile he entered in contact with the classical academic education by the master hand of Almudena Lobón.
